In 2011, we at the University of North Dakota started the first university-based, for-credit, online Norwegian courses in the US. We have refined and developed the courses, a series of NORW 101 and NORW 102, that provide in total 32 weeks of language instruction. We’ve had great success with students aged 18-80+, so the instruction style fits a variety of learners.
The series starts in August as UND kicks off a new semester, and the Fall semester spans 16 weeks from August 24 to December 18. Individuals may also register for upcoming online courses at the Online & Distance Education website. The website allows a student to become admitted as a non-degree student AND to become enrolled in an online course(s), all in one form. You will find additional details in the left-hand sidebar links at any of the online course registration websites.
