Happy Leif Eiriksson Day!
Leif Eiriksson Day is an annual observance that occurs on October 9. Our Midnattsolen Chapter celebrated the day with a Rekefest on September 28th.
Our guest speaker was Dr. James J. S. Johnson.
His program was titled:
"Leif Eiriksson's Small World, a Rekefest Remembrance" Some lesser known history about Leif's family, friends, and their friends -- gives a bigger picture on the interrelated of Vikings who lived when Leif Eiriksson lived.
